Endings are typically sad, but turns out they are better in certain situations. Sometimes an ending virtually forces you to find a new beginning. It forces you to step out of your comfort zone and find a lot more about yourself. It helps you find something better for you! It makes you wish it happened earlier or you had the courage to leave that mess and walk away from the people and things that are no longer a positive influence.
There is no need to grieve over an ending. There is no need to be sad only because we were taught that endings are bad. Some endings are actually happy. While they seem like too much to handle, they teach us an important lesson and open a whole new world for us. They bring a wide range of new opportunities and make us stronger.
Interestingly, you find more blessings in endings that you do in new beginnings. But, we are sort of addicted to the idea that blessings come with something new, bringing change and new opportunities. This is why we fail to see that real blessings are in endings. When things end, we are forced to look around, to dig deeper, and to question all whys and hows. We are forced to deal with million questions that push us forward into finding important answers.
Ironically, turns out that the hardest endings are the ones that are the best for us. They are the ones that bring the biggest joys and happiness. They serve to teach us an important lesson: show you what is meant to be yours and what isn’t. This is how God takes care of you. This is how God moves you into a new direction. His plan is undoubtedly better than yours.
Endings are a blessings in disguise, as much difficult as it seems to swallow. They should be celebrated, not grieved over. They should be cherished and celebrated as new beginnings. They offer so many opportunities. So much hope. So much freedom.
Here are a few quotes on endings that will show you how powerful they are and teach you that an ending provides closure and cleanliness, preparing you to attack the new with refreshed strength.
- “Ends are not bad things, they just mean that something else is about to begin. And there are many things that don’t really end, anyway, they just begin again in a new way. Ends are not bad and many ends aren’t really an ending; some things are never-ending.” C. JoyBell C.
- “Every ending is a beginning. We just don’t know it at the time.”-Mitch Albom
- “There is always more after the ending. Always the next morning, and the next. Always changes, losses and gains. Always one step after the other. Until the one true ending that none of us can escape. But even that ending is only a small one, larges as it looms for us. There is still the next morning for everyone else. For the vast majority of the rest of the universe that ending might as well not ever have happened. Every ending is an arbitrary one. Everything ending is from another angle, not really an ending.” -Ann Leckie,Ancillary Mercy
- “A sunset is nothing more and nothing less than the backside of a sunrise.”-Craig D. Lounsbrough
