Coconut oil consists of saturated fats with huge amount of medium chain fatty acids. Specifically, a great percentage of the fats in coconut oil are capric and lauric acids, both of which protect the skin from infections. It also contains vitamin E, a nutrient that promotes proper functioning of the sebum glands and clears up any blockages.
