1. Vitamin B

For instance, when rats were fed a diet that is low in magnesium, they experienced a significant hair loss. The situation got worse with some other B vitamins! Vitamin E is extremely important for healthy hair growth. It is recommended to eat plenty of vitamin-E rich foods, such as seeds, nuts, avocados, and olive oil.
If your hair loss is caused by thyroid dysfunction, eat more foods rich in vitamin A and iodine. Eat veggies like spinach and carrots, cabbage, sea-vegetables, pine nuts, millet, walnut or pumpkin seed, and flax.
Silica is yet another very important nutrient for hair health. It has been scientifically shown that silica added to shampoo helps prevent baldness, promotes beautiful shine and strength, and stimulates healthier hair growth. It can be taken orally as well, to help the body from the inside out. Raw oats, green and red peppers, cucumbers, bean sprouts, and potatoes are all great sources of silica.
Zinc plays an important role in many body`s functions, from hormonal balance to cell reproduction, both of which affect hair growth. Zinc is also responsible for management of glands that bind to the hair follicles. When your diet is low in zinc, these follicles weaken and cause strands to break off or fall out. To fight off this issue, eat zinc-rich foods, such as nuts, oysters and seafood.
Hair is made up mostly of protein. To stimulate hair growth, you need to eat a diet rich in this nutrient. The recommended supplements include wheat germ, brewer`s yeast and two tablespoons of granulated lecithin. In addition to protein, these foods are also an excellent source of B vitamins, which are crucial for hair health.
Anemia is one of the most common causes of hair loss. Iron is of utmost importance when I comes to producing hemoglobin, the part of the blood which carries oxygen to organs and tissues in the body. Oxygen is properly distributed when hemoglobin is at a healthy level, meaning that the scalp gets proper flow of blood and promotes hair growth. Some of the best sources of iron include dried fruits, spirulina, dark leafy greens, and eggs.
