CRF Frozen Foods Recalls Frozen Vegetables Due to Possible Health Risk
CRF Frozen Foods of Pasco, Washington is recalling fifteen frozen vegetable items on their own will, due to the potential risk of being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, bacteria which can cause infections in young children, elderly people, or those with poor immunity. Short-term symptoms of listeria infection include fever, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, stiffness, and severe headache while pregnant women may experience miscarriages and stillbirths.
Even though no illnesses have been reported so far, the company decided to recall these items as a preventive measure. The bacteria was discovered through routine testing by health officials in Ohio and it was found in one lot of IQF organic white sweet cut corn and one lot of IQF organic petite green peas.
The recalled items were sold in plastic bags and are marked with Use-by Dates found on the back of the package. The table below shows in-depth information in regard to the recalled items:

The recalled items were distributed to retailers and suppliers between September 13, 2022 and March 16 in the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NV, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan of Canada.
Consumers shouldn’t consume these products are may take them back to the store for a refund or simply throw them away.
